New Exhibit Coming to Ball’s Falls Centre for Conservation
From July 1 to September 18th, 2009, the Niagara Peninsula Conservation Authority welcomes an exciting travelling exhibition to the Ball’s Falls Centre for Conservation. The exhibit entitled, WE ALL LIVE DOWNSTREAM: THE STORY OF CANADA’S WATER was created by the Hamilton Museum of Steam and Technology. 2009 Canal Days Concerts Announced
The 2009 Canal Days Marine Heritage Festival in Port Colborne will feature an all-star roster of musical entertainment in the Market Square venue, and the full concert schedule has now been confirmed. Canal Days is entering its fourth decade and has a long history of presenting top-notch acts over the Canadian Civic Holiday weekend in August. This year, the festival will be the point of celebration for the 50th anniversary of the St. Lawrence Seaway and the 180th anniversary of the first Welland Canal. Museum Launches New Website
It has been a long time coming, but the Niagara Historical Museum finally has a new website to be proud of that offers more for our community, researchers and visitors. Thanks to the Canadian Arts and Heritage Sustainability Program (CAHSP), the Museum has transformed their former site, done with very little training and a tiny budget, into a professional one that better reflects the resources and collection at the Museum.
