During the first round of the 2010 Canadian Tour Championship, Kris Wasylowich of Lethbridge, AB set a new competitive course record posting a round of 62 that day. The original course record at the St. Catharines Golf and Country Club was set on September 18, 1988 by then Head Golf Professional, John Irwin. His round of 63 was matched by three players during the playing of the 2009 Canadian Tour Championship - Byron Smith, Clayton Rask, and Alan McLean. A 63 was also posted four times in the 2010 event - Ryan Yip, Stuart Anderson, Devin Carrey, & Andres Gonzalez. On June 11, 1984 John Irwin also tied the all time record for consecutive birdies (ten) which was co-held by Roberto DeVincenzo. He birdied holes seven through sixteen (chipping in twice) and finished with a score of 64 that day.
