The Log Cabin opened its doors 26 years ago. It is a unique shopping destination with something for every one. With a number of shops under one roof, the shoppers in the family can browse, (and shop!), while the one that doesn't enjoy this process can sit back, relax on the old fashioned porch and eat an ice-cream cone. Or read the paper over a coffee in the restaurant.

The Log Cabin Gifts & Collectibles was the Shonewille's family, the original owner's, store, which locals quickly gravitated to for their Christmas shopping. With many of the items handmade in Canada it was the place to go for quality items, as well as for finding special presents when travelling out of the country. Today you can still count on finding Canadiana as well as the latest giftware, along with tempting home and garden decor.

In 1998, the Lazy Loon Restaurant and Ice Cream Bar opened inside the building.

The Shonewille's opened the Log Cabin Art Gallery in 2003.

The Quilting Bee has been a welcome addition to the Log Cabin since 2007.

All of the above make the Log Cabin truly one of southern Ontario's most unique shopping destinations!
