Take a step back into time to explore and discover original artifacts from the war of 1812 at the Lundy's Lane Historical Museum. The war of 1812 between the United States of America and Britain played an important role in shaping the look and makeup of the City of Niagara Falls.
The museum provides information surrounding some of the most significant battles that took place during the war of 1812. The battles include the Battle of Chippawa, The Battle of Lundy's Lane, and The Battle at Queenston.
Not only does the museum cater to showcasing artifacts and paintings from some of the most brutal battles from the war of 1812, but you can also see historic prints of Niagara Falls, a world class collection of Niagara Falls souvenir china and postcards in the museum's gift shop.
At this museum you can experience what life was like in the city of Niagara Falls long before the days of technology, and get an interactive interpretation of how the city has evolved and has come to be one of the most popular tourism destinations in Canada.
The Lundy's Lane historical museum is also active within the local community, as they provide guided tours of other areas in Niagara Falls that share a history of the war of 1812. These include the Battleground Hotel and Museum and the Drummond Hill Cemetery.
