Parking

If you take the Twenty Valley Trail to Ball's Falls Conservation Area heading south, you will actually pass under King Street at the bridge. This is a beautiful walk with stairs to make your climb through the valley easier. This trail eventually will merge with the Bruce Trail as you head towards the Ball's Falls historic village.

If you take the trail northward instead, you will pass a sturdy wooden staircase that takes you into the backyard of the Jordan Historical Museum. From there you can wander into the Village for some some window shopping, spa treatments or refreshments. Back on the trail continuing north, you will pass ponds, and through a meadow you will come to the parking lot by Baily Bridge. If you had two cars you could leave one at either end so you would not have to backtrack on the trail.

Poison ivy is alive and well along these trails so make sure you know what it looks like. It can be low growing, a knee high shrub or a vine with hairy aerial roots. The vine can cling so tightly to the trunk of a tree as to seem a part of it when it's smaller; it's only the aerial roots that will give it away. The vine can also be huge, so keep your eyes open and see the difference between Virginia creeper, wild grapes and poison ivy.
