What is now known as the Niagara Parks Botanical Gardens and School of Horticulture was established in 1936 in Niagara Falls, Ontario. The school is a prestigious institute for studying the art and science of horticulture, which includes the ground's botanical gardens, which are developed by the school's staff, students and alumni. The 40 hectares of garden include perennials, a formal parterre garden, herb and vegetable plantings, rhodedendrons and the beautiful rose garden featuring 2400 roses. The grounds also have a cafe for guests.
School office hours are from 8:45 to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday except statutory holidays
