Feel Nature's Pulse.

NO-logos-Parks

The diversity of nature areas and hiking trails in Niagara is exceptional. Feel nature’s pulse and soak up the beauty. Niagara is home to the majestic Niagara Escarpment, a UNESCO World Biosphere designated area recognizing its unique ecological and geological traits. Along the Escarpment you’ll find the Bruce Trail, Canada’s longest and oldest footpath, which starts at Queenston Heights Forest in Niagara-on-the-Lake and connects many natural areas as it curves around Lake Ontario before heading north to the Bruce Peninsula.

Hike down the Niagara Gorge to the swirling waters of the Niagara River. Explore Short Hills Provincial Park and the Region’s numerous Conservation areas. Expect epiphanies of wonder and delight as rare plants come into view, breathtaking views appear and waterfalls and hidden pools beckon. With terrain for all levels of hikers, from leisurely to extreme, there is something for everyone.
