Take a stroll down the beautifully landscaped shopping district of Niagara-on-the-Lake. Browse through the many unique specialty shops, galleries and boutiques. Take in some of the local culture by exploring one of the many historical points of interest along the route.
Minutes away by foot is historic Fort George. A reminder of the town's past, it was the guardian of the future during the War of 1812. Fort George has now become a living museum where you can watch soldiers in period uniforms perform drills.
Not far from Fort George, you can enjoy a cruise on the water with an exciting whitewater Whirlpool Jet Boat trip.*
Leaving Niagara-on-the-Lake, along the Niagara Parkway heading south, is Niagara's Floral Clock. This free horticultural attraction is designed, planted and maintained by the Niagara Parks Commission. The "floral face" of the clock is changed seasonally. Formed by 15000 plants, it is one of the world's largest floral clocks at 12.2 metres in diameter. From the latter part of May, traditional carpet bedding material is used until frost occurs.
